In the end the discovered the alleged white powder that was supposed to have been a terrorist attack on the folks in Moon Valley was nothing more then some flour an old ladies jogging club put down to mark the path of their jogging event.

While the rain didn't hit me according to the news between a third of an inch to an inch and a third of rain fell in other parts of the East Valley.

Also it sure feels hot.

While the temperatures are not that hot there is lots of humidity in the air and it feels much hotter then it really is. The same news article said the humidity was above 60 percent in the Valley.

A group of thunderstorms swept through parts of the Valley early Tuesday, dropping more than an inch of rain in the East Valley.

The storms struck between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., said meteorologist Chris Kuhlman of the National Weather Service. The scattered storms looped through Apache Junction, Mesa and headed toward Scottsdale.

Apache Junction reported 1.30 inches of rainfall. Mesa received about .94 inches of rainfall and .36 inches dropped in Scottsdale, according to the Maricopa County Flood Control District.

There was flooding on some streets, including Mountain Road near Williams Field Road.

There is a 10 to 20 percent chance of thunderstorms throughout the week and temperatures will remain in the low 100s, according to the weather service.

Humidity is above 60 percent, which is relatively humid for the Valley, with near normal temperatures expected the rest of the week, according to Kuhlman.

The high on Tuesday will be 102, the highest this week, with temperatures dropping below triple-digits with a high of 99 on Thursday. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will be 101.

Expect a decrease in temperatures from 104 to 95 by the end of the month.

Although I suspect that people who are in the business of "organic foods" will give you a different definition, such as that "organic foods" are grown naturally, "organic foods" are grown without pesticides, "organic foods" are grown with love, and a whole slew of other "politically correct" terms.

I always thought that the "organic foods" label was just a "politically correct" term on why you should buy a bunch of over priced food grown by hippies.

Don't get me wrong, that is just my big picture definition of "organic foods". I do suspect that you probably can make foods better and perhaps healthier by the way you grow them.

Flashlight battery shorts out

I reached in and pulled out one working flash light and there was nothing wrong with it. It felt normal.

So I grabbed the other flashlight, which I thought the batteries were disconnected on and it was hotter then all krap. Apparently the batteries had shorted out, which caused the flashlight to heat up.

I am lucky the flashlight didn't start on fire and burn me.

That flashlight is one of those LED flashlights you can get either free or for $1 at Harbor Freight.

They have a push button on and off switch which always goes on since I carry it in my pants pocket.

Because of that I put the battery in backwards to keep the light from turning on accidentally.

That wouldn't work if it had the normal run of the mill incandescent light bulbs, because they are simply a piece of wire that conducts electricity either way.

But since they have light bulbs that are LEDs or Light Emitting Diodes, by definition a diode only conducts electricity in one direction you can simply insert the battery backwards to prevent the light from turning on accidentally.

I am now quite sure how it managed to short out.

Normally when a LED gets burnt out it doesn't conduct electricity period.

The battery is in a metal tube and I don't think anything got inside the tube to short it out.

I searched around to find a multimeter to track down why the thing shorted out, but I gave up because I couldn't find any of my multimeter.

Freon costs more then marijuana????

Freon was made illegal about 20 years ago, conveniently at the time the patents DuPont held on it expired.

Some people predicted, it would soon become more expensive then marijuana and this article talks about that.

Freon used in auto air conditioners was R-12 and the stuff used in home air conditioner was R-22. I may have flipped them around. So don't quote me on that.

Those old AC units won't work with the new version of freon, so you have to throw them away and replace them with a new AC unit which can cost thousands of dollars. Or you can use good old R-12 or R-22 which has to be smuggled into the USA, just like marijuana.

Yea, maybe so, but the the U.S. Congress has given the U.S. Post Office a special advantage over other private businesses that compete with it, but still the private businesses like UPS and FedEx still kick post office butt when it comes to delivering the mail.

Per Federal law, any private business that delivers the mail has to either deliver it for FREE, or charge 3 times, three times what the U.S. Post Office charges.

Despite this unlevel playing field created by the U.S. Congress UPS and FedEx still kick postal butt and deliver the mail faster then the US Post Office does.

While UPS and FedEx have to charge 3 times what the US Post Office charges their internal cost to deliver the mail are lower then the U.S. Post Office's costs.

I was going to go to a 9/11 event today

It was supposed to be put on by engineers and architects at ASU, but we could not find any events at ASU, that were about the 9/11 event at all.

Some folks say that the 9/11 even in which two planes flew into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon was an inside job planned by President George W. Bush as an attempt to get the American people angry about Muslims and to allow him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.

Yes, I suspect it could have been possible. Government crooks will do anything to give them an excuse to justify their thievery and power.

But I kind of doubt that it was an inside job. I am not saying it wasn't an inside job by the criminals that live in Washington D.C. but I kind of doubt that it was an inside job.

First of all the Arab world has pretty much hated the American government since the 1940s or early 1950s when we stole their land and gave it to the Jews to create the state of Israel.

The Arabs really don't have a chance fighting a head to head battle with the evil American Empire so they do what all other freedom fighters do, fight a guerrilla war against the American Empire picking and choosing only battles that they can win.

They have been doing this all my life time. So it's not unusually when they come up with a new way to attack the American government.

So with that in mind I don't think it is unusual that the Arab Freedom Fighters attacked the World Trade Center on 9/11.

From a military point of view it was a fantastic plan. It was low cost, only killed a few people on their side, killed a few thousand American and damaged the superpower image of the American Empire.

So with all those facts or pieces of information in mind I think that it is highly unlikely that the American government or George W. Bush planned and executed the 9/11 attack.

But just to see things from my friends perspective and from the perspective of the other folks who claim that 9/11 was an inside job I agreed to go with my friend to see this presentation.

Even though I don't think 9/11 was an inside job, I was hoping to see the logic and reason on why those folks claim it was.

So from that point of view I am sorry we could not find and attend the event.

When I was growing up as a small child I had two things happen to me a lot.

The first were the beatings.

I got beat a lot with a belt. When you are a small child it is very terrifying to be beat with a belt by a huge adult. Those beatings still haunt me today.

Yes the welts and bruises from the beatings go away in a few days, but the terror remains inside you.

Most of the times the beatings were not for some major crime I committed, but for so trivial thing I did. Acting funny, whatever that is. Or saying hi wrong. Just what is saying hi wrong?

The the second thing was I was always told that I was a worthless piece of sh*t and that I would never amount to anything.

When you are a very small child and your dad tells you stuff like that you believe it and it becomes a self fulling prophecy.

Now if you tell me I am a worthless piece of sh*t I will write YOU off as being an *sshole and a jerk, and ignore the insults you are giving me.

But I still believe the stuff that I was told when I was a very small child that I am a worthless piece of sh*t.

Yes, I know it's not true, but it was burned into my brain as a small child and I believe it, even it it's not true.

When I was a little kid I never made friends with people, because I knew I was a worthless piece of sh*t and not good enough to be anybody's friend.

Of course as an adult I know the thing about me being a "worthless piece of sh*t" isn't true, but it's been burnt into my brain, and even if I know it's not true, deep down inside I still believe it's true and I still don't make friends, because after all I know I a a worthless piece of sh*t and not good enough to be anybody's friend.

Eaten alive by bugs

I moved down the road about half a mile to a new place were I was not attacked by bugs every second.

I suspect the rain from the last few days brought out all the bugs.
