Chandler to run all the Mexicans out of town????

Chandler wants to run all the Mexicans out of the area between Fry Road on the north, Pecos on the south, Arizona Avenue on the west and the railroad tracks on the east

In the printed edition of the Republic the title of this article was:
City hopes Chandler site will be revitalized
That's just government double talk for lets run all the Mexicans out of town and build nice government subsidized homes and businesses for white people.

The area currently is a low income homes occupied by mostly Mexicans. It's just south of the Chandler government complex on on Arizona Avenue which ends at Frye Road. It's east of Arizona Avenue.

I like the area because you there are several family owned grocery stores where you can buy hot spicy Mexican food at bargain prices.

Of course once the Chandler runs the Mexicans out of town the family owned grocery stores will go out of business and I won't hang out there any more for the good spicy food they sell.

Parcel on edge of downtown raises revitalization hopes

7-acre site just south of central core earmarked for high-density housing

A 7-acre parcel on the southern edge of downtown Chandler has been put on the market, pleasing Chandler officials who say they have long wanted to spruce up that area.

The site is south of Frye Road between Washington and Delaware, just south of the Municipal Court, which is on the northern side of Frye. It is earmarked for high-density residential, 18 to 40 units per acre, and the city would entertain proposals for higher density, said Teri Killgore, Chandler's downtown redevelopment manager.

"It is a huge boost for downtown," she said.

"Getting a project like that built starts the expansion of downtown south of Frye toward the (Loop) 202, and our ultimate vision is to see this entire area revitalized."

Housing there will bring more evening activity to the eastern side of Arizona Avenue, which now is occupied by offices and city buildings.

That side of the street has gained two new tenants: a branch of Arizona State University and a promise of a TechShop lab.

Adding apartments would bring 24/7 vitality, Killgore said.

The property, owned by Texas-based Commercial Metals Co., was last occupied about three years ago for steel fabrication.

"It was not heavy, toxic smelting," Killgore said.

An environmental assessment has not yet been done.

Commercial Metals, has other facilities in metro Phoenix, including a large rebar-construction site east of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

The broker is Bill Honsaker, managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle.

No sales price is set for the Chandler site.

"Because of the unique attributes of the site, we felt it was most appropriate to allow the marketplace to speak to us about the value of the opportunity," said Honsaker, who has fielded inquiries.

"We think it's going to generate a significant amount of interest, create competition and potentially push the price up."

Chandler government drives Mexicans from Arizona Avenue

This url isn't an article, but rather some photos of signs that the city of Chandler government has put up in the same area on Arizona Avenue to keep the Mexicans from looking for work on Arizona Avenue.

These racist signs are along Arizona Avenue from Chandler Blvd to Pecos and are designed to keep the Mexican laborers from looking for work on Arizona Avenue.

Gee, doesn't the government in the city of Chandler, Arizona remind you of the racist south where the bigots in the governments of the Southern states passed all kinds of racist laws to keep Black folks in their place?
